He did his graduation and post graduation from Govt Medical College , Patiala passing out in 1990. From 1990 to 1995 he was medical specialist at Civil Hospital , Ludhiana. From 1995 to 2020 he worked in Medicine department of GMSH 16 and became head of department. He was instrumental in upgradation of cardiology section of the medicine department. He has guided 6 DNB students as guide for DNB medicine thesis.He was awarded state award for meritorious service by Chandigarh administration on Republic Day ,2017.
